Fill probe

are most fill probe brand specific? seems like i have 3 guns and need 3 different probes to remember where they are

There can be some overlap of those which fit different guns, but many are specific to a brand, or even a model within the brand.

That is why nearly everyone raves when a gun manufacturer puts a male Foster QD fitting on their gun(s), instead of requiring fill probes.

Get a plastic sectional box and keep your mags and fill probes in labeled compartments. It only gets worse as you buy additional guns!

I have a magazine pouch for each of my rifles. If there is a fill probe, I put it in the pouch. Great system as long as you remember to bring the right pouch. I pack twice now before I go to the range

more of a rant,,,,, like old tractors had each their own hyd coupler, now they are all standard

Example, FX, Kral, Hatsan, Evanix use the same probe.

I'm sure there more brands that overlap,

Anyone knows if all those Eastern European brands share probe sizes ?

I have found that even fill probes which look different might, in fact, work. For example, my Leshiy 2 and my Steyr Pro x have quite different looking probes. However each probe will work in the other gun… don’t ask how I discovered that . Now I label my probes!

Huma-Air Probe #1178 fits Edgun, HW100 series, Vulcan, Uragan and Taipan. Bought one-piece brass probe on eBay for My FX Wildcat MK3, based upon claimed FX, Kral, Hatsan and Evanix coverage, didn't fit Wildcat. Seller refunded money and said to just keep it. Found out it works on Veteran. WM
