Resources Field target van for travel

Great vans when running. The egr valves break every 20k or so and are perpetualy out of stock. It's a terminal issue known to the trades. Get a Ford Sprinter and save the headache.

Great information, H! Knowing the OP, who is not a lot younger than me, my primary point was "totally self-contained". I can't see arriving at a destination after an all-day drive only to have to locate a place to then have to pitch camp.

I knew a girl that had and used a Sprinter a lot, so that's what came to mind. Wasn't sure about what other brands do camper-vans; but at 71 years of age that's what I'd be shopping for.

Today I started to put a few things in the 6' X 12' cargo trailer 1 man camper I built a couple years ago to get ready to head over to the Luna, NM shoot on Thursday morning.
As I looked around I remembered about this thread and it dawned on me.....
I'm the one that went bat:poop: crazy building this thing. Still ended up at half the price of a commercial travel trailer though.
Oh well, it has all the comforts of home I need for a couple days at an event somewhere.
Bluetti for power, 3X 175 watt solar panels, Bosch hot water heater, shower, microwave, iceco 12V ref/freezer, porta-potti, Max-fan, etc., etc.

Just adding some thoughts here …. But I second the converted cargo trailer. Can be used and dropped anywhere when needed. Fits nicely in a hotel parking lot, as needed. My 6x12 has air conditioning, 12v and 120v, windows and the ramp doubles as a porch. Middle of the night boat potty. Carries my Harley or lots of FT gear.

I have graduated to a bigger rig as my big ass dog travels with us now. I’m camped in the bigger rig in Virginia as I type this.
