While I was setting up for another HFT video installment, this guy decided to make a gutsy move into my yard.
i had just set up the table and was coming back with my gun, when I spied him to my left with his back to me. Cocked and loaded, I ranged him using my newly installed comma wheel at 32 yards. No holdover required. I waited for him to quit bobbing and moving his head around, but with a squirrel foraging on the ground that appeared unlikely. I decided to place the crosshairs on his shoulder for a heart/lung shot.
The connection was instant as was the kill. He jumped up, lunged forward a few feet and curled up.
I'm guessing this to be about a 30-35 on the Troyer.
I’ve taken many, many a squirrel with .22 and .25’s but my first with a HFT rig!
