Today we shot our September Feild Target match and had our best turnout since we started. It was a little warm out in the open where we had sign up and sight in, but as soon as we entered the woods the temp was perfect for smacking targets with lead. Wind was calm. The only issue we had was some obstructions in the way of a couple of the lower targets for the WFT and Open guys. Hope that it didn’t affect your day too bad. I will work towards not letting that happen again. We turned up the difficulty a bit with the up coming National event next weekend, so I was really impressed to see certain people who I know have been working to do better, have a more than solid score. Shout out to Laura and Mike S. We also had two new shooters John Lahman and Doug Jerzycke. Hope you guys had fun and come back for more!
Our high score this month was Mike Beyerle, who for some reason decided to blow the dust off his Dreamline PCP and discard that springer. Second place was my brother who is passing through visiting family, so he says, on his way to Nationals. Third place overall is Mark Mayer, like I mentioned earlier, I know I had to clean up some stuff for Mark Mayer, hopefully Mark king had clean shots. I know Jon Halpin shoots deadman style and he definitely couldn see some shots and opted to just shoot standing. He is the man!
Decimal scores are added to the match score and used as tiebreakers; they are calculated as additional 10ths for hits on Standing lanes and 100ths for hits on Kneeling lanes; clearing both forced position lanes would give a decimal score of .66.
