ALSO…AFTER THE FIELD TARGET MATCH…A 10-METER OFFHAND COMPETITION!

Mike is hosting a 10-meter offhand competition at the Airgun Range, right after the Field Target match.

This competition has 20 scored shots, using rifle or pistol.
You can use your Field Target gun, or bring a specific 10-meter gun.
PCP and ‘old school’ guns are welcome, any sights/scopes/red dots are allowed…there will be classifications based on equipment.

For everyone who loves, or hates, offhand shooting…why not give it a try!

For the pistol shooters…dang!...sorry for the incorrect 115mm-wide black 7-ring dimension.
The correct width for the pistol black 7-ring is 60mm.
(The pistol outer perimeter 1-ring width is 156mm.)

A note about the weather...all go for the match, as of now.
Forecasted scattered showers in the afternoon.
Watching the weather...will let everyone know here if plans change.

Another great Field Target match, AND 10-meter match, completed at Delaware County (PA) Field & Stream Association!

The weather was the topic of the Field target match. An early-morning rain shower disappeared just as we were starting the sight-in. The rain then held off until the very end of the match. The sun (briefly) made an appearance in the middle. We were motivated to ‘keep moving’ and complete the course because the weather radar indicated more showers approaching from the South. The wind - not bad, but ‘off-and-on’ - hopefully ‘off’ when needed. The brightness of the sky changed throughout the morning - some lanes had targets easy to see, while others had targets ‘hiding’ in the shadows - all due to changing conditions overhead.

By the time everyone was done with the Field Target match, it was definitely raining - which was fine since we moved indoors for the 10-meter match. Some shot with their Field Target guns, others brought vintage rifles and pistols. We were joined by some DCFSA club ‘old-timers’ who avoided the Field Target course, but were happy to shoot (and win the pistol division). A big thanks to ‘old-timers’ George and Jim for helping organize and score targets! The 10-meter shoot was a great opportunity to dust off older guns, or bring brand-new bling, and earn rock solid scores with them.

Also great to see some newer shooters joining us. Jibrial is getting back into Field Target after a ten-year hiatus - welcome back Jibrial!

Here’s the scores (Go Justin!)…
