Sunday June 1st at Delaware County PA Field & Stream...Lovely!

After several rainy days, nice to have a cloudless sky, a bit breezy, not too hot & not too cool - a fine day for both Field Target, AND a 10-Meter Offhand competition. Our headcount was a bit less than usual, from same-day competition at the Sherwood Forest AAFTA Grand Prix. All here enjoyed the day - hopefully everyone at Sherwood Forest did too! One advantage of less headcount was the flexibility to choose shooting lanes - we chose to start on the less 'forested' lanes, to hopefully help our scores as breezes were predicted to increase as the morning proceeded. One thing that made the course more challenging than last month was a ‘creeping’ difficulty increase. On average, the targets are creeping smaller and more distant every 2025 match. Will our skills improve to keep up with the challenge?…

For the 10-Meter Offhand competition, we had Carl and Richard join us - who had not done the Field Target course. Congrats to Carl (again) - for showing us how to shoot a pistol! Sweet to hear the Richard is once again a member at DCFSA. Laura had a great time, and great scores - no less a first-time target pistol shooter. Mike Harris walked away with the top rifle score - go Mike! And a huge thanks to George for doing the 10-meter scoring….THANKS GEORGE!

A scheduling note - to avoid the July 4th holiday, the next DCFSA Field Target & 10-Meter competition is Sunday June 29th (instead of the typical first Sunday of the month.) Hope to see you then!

Here’s the scores…
