FWB Feinwerkbau 603

Just got my FWB 603 back from David Slade after a fresh rebuild. Oh what a sweet shooting 10m rifle!

At 12 yards - Shot 3 through a tiny hole straight out of the box, then dialed it in to center. I then proceeded to shoot one shot at each corner spot. Such an easy rifle to shoot and has a nice sight picture through the 4mm front lens.

mine has a clear front sight no black ring but still 4mm
Mine is clear too. The photo made it look like a black ring. Here is a closeup of the lens. I have my target face illuminated well and it centers up nicely on the spots.

Very nice ! ! ! ! I have a 601 that was redone by David and it also shoots great. I have put together a game I call 10 meter silhouette. I put 1/10 scale air rifle silhouette targets at 10,15,20 and 25 yds respectfully on saw horse type stands and shoot them with ten meter rifles. I have traditional which is peep sights and open which is red dot or scope. Have a couple of friends with ten meter rifles that get together once a week to shoot. What a blast. I moved it to the next level when I put a red dot on the 601. I've hit out to 35 yds with it. I clean the stands pretty regularly with it. Have fun :)

That sounds like fun! I have a scope mount that allows the half gate to fully clear, but haven’t yet decided on whether to scope it or not.

I have a 602 Meistergrade, that just means somewhat fancy walnut stock, reworked by David Slade a couple of months ago. I upgraded the sights, with a Gehmann 522 adjustable front aperture and a 530 rear iris with 1.5x diopter.

I need to get it out a bit more, I have been playing with an old 150 springer, the predecessor to the 300 series.
