Feedlot in South Texas

Cold and windy today and in the 50s but still had a good shoot with John Tafoya. I was shooting my FX 500 and John the Impact both in 25 cal. Shot starlings, pigeons, house sparrows, cow birds and grackles. Will be returning to Phoenix end of month to do some real bird shooting.

What you really should do is make it out to Phoenix to shoot. Never seen so many birds in one place!! But either way we can make a shoot happen.

Where at in south Texas are you? Just a general area .

I am in Odessa, Texas , And the oil; field has just about wiped out all private shooting

I used a tin of pellets to add the 9 to the 179. Chuck puts you either too close or too far. Hahaha. Fun times with Chuck and he’s a dang good shooter with his Ole Faithful R500!!!

Mike, I live in Kyle TX which is just south of Austin. Do you have P dogs in Odessa? We could trade a hunt. Sorry for the delay in answering. If I’m not shooting I’m working leather. Something I may introduce later.

We got the P dogs even in the city of Odessa, But we are in the middle of a boom and no private land owners want you on there land because of the oil field.. I got a few posters that I am posting at the feed dealers to see if I get any hits, 

There is not any air gun people in the sport in my area, So we will see what kind of hits I get

Thanks Mike. I put such a sell on this one feedlot that when I finished, he said: “Help me understand, do you pay me or do I pay you?” I laughed and told him I would love for you to pay me but I will gladly do it for free. I’ve been on it for 5 years.

LOL, Thats funny,

Hope full being retired and an old fart and they can see my guns , That I an't no kid out with a BB gun to shoot every thing up, I will get a few hits from the feed dealers .
