Yes barbecue rib bones work really well.

Getting close to that time of year here.. when they start teaching their Young how to hunt they like to visit my chicken coop.. even though they never get in they try night after night. Always causing damage.. living by a creek doesn't help either. The creek is a coon highway.. when enough is enough they take a dirt nap... Shame no one traps them anymore to keep the population down some..

I do miss those days of hunting and trapping furbearers for money. A large female raccoon would bring 40.00 easily. The 2nd Tuesday of the month we would take all of our pelts down to the stock yards. The fur buyers would line up tables all around the parking lot. We all had our relationships with different buyers for different pelts. I had a "coon" guy, and a "mink" guy and of course a "bobcat" guy. In 1978 I made a little over 30 thousand dollars on just pelts.
A lot of hard work, but it was all outdoors.

I have a friend in TX that hunts for the furs , paid $4k for a 6 year old dog , paid for it the first season.
