Feeding bald eagles

A week or so ago, I shot a few starlings and Eurasian doves (both pest species in my locale) at a local dairy farm. The .22 FX wildcat was in good form, getting good solid hits out to 70 yards. This was a photo taken of a few of the birds from one area of the farm.

I left the birds stacked there while I roamed around to other buildings. A little while later, I was back in that spot when one of the many bald eagles that roam the river valley that the dairy farm resides in dropped by for a snack. Apologize for the blurriness, but it was understandably a hastily taken photo.

I sure hope your pellets go through , make a clean pass on your birds.
Lead is not good for any Bird of Prey , (BOP) Noting wrong with feeding a few BOPs that need the extra food.
I have had a few BOPs take my dead birds off the ground, Coppers Hawks , a few sparrow hawks but never a Eagle...
Pretty, cool,
Had a big Bull snake that used to hang around, Some dumb ass I am sure killed it think all snakes are bad....

Iride, Yes, I'm pretty sure the birds shown were clean (pass thru hits). But good point, and I will certainly try and check any birds I leave in the future (usually I find a better spot for them, i.e. the manure piles or trash bins).

Thurmond, actually that was taken on the lower end of the Snoqualmie valley, north of Duvall. But, that is Mt. Rainier in the background, which makes an appearance when it's a bluebird day.
