Fed-Ex lost another one! Just in case someone might see it

I one time had a fedex claim. Was quite awhile ago on a compound bow damaged that I sent to someone. The claim ended up getting paid and the process actually wasn’t horrible. They had the recipient take photos of the box, damage and all the packaging materials inside. Certainly in the desire of claiming improper packaging. That was definitely a lesson. Pack your things you send well and maybe even document it with photos ahead of time. Unfortunately buyers are basically at the mercy of the sender. If the person sending you the item doesn’t pack it well the shipper isn’t paying the claim. With fedex the claims are (or at least were at the time) paid to the person shipping as they are the “customer” in that situation. The buyer better hope the seller is reasonable if they didn’t pack it well as they will get nothing . It’s a jungle for sure. As I said that was a long time ago and fedex paid for replacement parts. I work for fedex freight, a completely separate entity from fedex one which is what I believe ground and express are referred to now. It’s my understanding they are under one umbrella even though the different names may still exist. Maybe being a fedex employee helped in that instance I don’t know.
