Fed-Ex lost another one! Just in case someone might see it

The shipper, in this case, has done everything possible to get this solved and has been on the phones as much as me. Just to talk to a person NOT in customer service, but in a claims depatment, was impossible and the claims dept. refused to talk with me until another claim is filed. Yes ...refused!! I would recomend that people insure their package for " Full Replacement" of the item. If they are going to treat customers this way, then make them pay for their mistakes since their "help" is severly lacking
Mike, I think you just answered my question.

I was at my local UPS store today, and the Manager and I were discussing your Fed-ex lost package issue. I asked him a few questions and he asked me if your RAW was insured for full replacement value. Based on your experience, I can’t help wondering that even if it was insured for full replacement value, would you ever get a refund from Fed-ex?

I have been skimping on buying enough insurance on my UPS AG shipments, and after seeing your post, I will reconsider if sending out an expensive AG. I ‘m still hoping the gun will be found.

I am wondering if there is a Main Office close enough for you to drive to and speak to a high end management person face to face.....

FedEx in Oxnard just shipped my very first expensive ( for me) new Compressor. Shipping label created today for 125lb crate going to Durham, NC FedEx depot. Going via 18 wheeler on a wood pallet.

Coltri ICON MCH-6. Unit tested perfectly, keeping fingers crossed. Nuvair does foam pack these units very well.

Hope the fork lift operator in Durham is careful taking it off truck.

Hey Tommy,
You are going to really enjoy having your own compressor!
No more trips to the dive shop to air just for a weeks worth of shooting.
You'll be able to work on your rifles without any concerns that you might run out of air before testing.
You'll definitely be shooting more.
Hope it's gets to you without any incidents
Mike

While Lloyds of London may be a bit overboard, there must be a company or two that can provide shipping insurance outside, or aside of FedEx, UPS and USPS.

Agree on this too.

When I have insured several AGs for full replacement value, UPS charges an exorbitant amount on top of their ground only shipping charges. Normally, I ship only the action and remove the stock and keep it at home.

I can recall shipping my Daystate Safari and RAW guns for some ‘ outside of warranty’ work, and the insurance uplift is excessive. Now, I roll the dice and under insure it, knowing I can be SOL if it’s damaged or lost.

Fortunately, I have been lucky but not too smart.

Thanks Mike.

Yes, it’s really going to be nice filling my own fill tanks. Through the 8/9 years I have been going to this Dive shop, I’ve had a lot of unintended misfires from the constantly changing personnel. The main guy is great, but it’s the other staff members that were either not trained or just sloppy.

No more long 45 minute one way drives, no more 4100/4200 fills vs. 4500 psi requested fills, no more driving 45 minutes for nothing “ I.e., our guy that can fill 4500 psi bottles is out at a Diving Instructor class and could not fill it.” Or, “sorry, He forgot to fill your tank.” Or, “I know I told you come back in an hour, but the guy left for the day.” There are literally probably a dozen or more times that for one reason or another, I had to come back the next day to pick up my tank(s).

The Nuvair-Coltri YT videos are pretty good. I only wish they would have had a good voice narrative vs. music only while they are showing the videos. Nothing beats a knowledgeable Coltri trained person who could actullay articulate what they are doing, why, what not to do, etc. Like the HW Tuning English guy who is excellent in his instructional videos.

I called the FedEx Dispatcher who works at the main trucking freight Depot today. He was very helpful and walked me through the customer pick up process step by step. He even explained to me that since Nuvair was adding foam inside the box, it would further insulate the compressor from unintended damage.

Hoping for the best.

Now happened to me personally .... While not air gun related it does show FEDX has PROBLEMS at there distribution facilities !!!!!!!!!!!!

On the aug 8th ordered a replacement High performance aluminum Radiator for my 05 Tundra 4x4. It left PA and in 2 days was tracked being received at the OHIO distribution hub & Never left :mad::mad:

Similar to Mikes Raw making to the City of Industry distribution facility in CA ..... then just falling off the face of the earth !!! I really smell inside job or organized crime thievery of fedx packages on a National if not Global scale:sneaky::poop:

I'd be extremely surprised if there weren't a lot of low paid jobs in the FedEx distribution center and if there weren't at least a few dirtbags working there. Most people at that entry level tier of employment are just starting out, but there are some who are just content to work at a menial job and others who are just looking for a way to collect L&I and to steal what's not bolted down.

LOl ... can only laugh at this point. Contacted seller of Radiator last week to state never received, Contacted Fedx and filed a missing package report. Shipper promptly issued a refund. Reordered from a different seller and it should be here by mid week.

The LAUGH :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
This mornings E-mail from FedX .... package delivery for today monday 8-25 coming from state of PA ( yea where original package shipped from ) stated weight 23# ( Sounds right ) ... WOW !!
I'm going to let it land here as No Sig required ... Then see what seller does as a refund has already been issued and the likelihood of it arriving beat & bent to a pulp is quite likely ???

What to do What to do :cautious:

SO TYPICAL >>> Damn FedX !!!!
Box crushed, contents damaged
