Mike, I think you just answered my question.The shipper, in this case, has done everything possible to get this solved and has been on the phones as much as me. Just to talk to a person NOT in customer service, but in a claims depatment, was impossible and the claims dept. refused to talk with me until another claim is filed. Yes ...refused!! I would recomend that people insure their package for " Full Replacement" of the item. If they are going to treat customers this way, then make them pay for their mistakes since their "help" is severly lacking
I was at my local UPS store today, and the Manager and I were discussing your Fed-ex lost package issue. I asked him a few questions and he asked me if your RAW was insured for full replacement value. Based on your experience, I can’t help wondering that even if it was insured for full replacement value, would you ever get a refund from Fed-ex?
I have been skimping on buying enough insurance on my UPS AG shipments, and after seeing your post, I will reconsider if sending out an expensive AG. I ‘m still hoping the gun will be found.
