PRS and Extreme Field Target are personally my favorites as they combines most of the aspects of distance & speed. The only time I shoot off a bench is to zero my scope or tune for accuracy.

25M Outdoor Spring Piston. I was not expecting to really get into BR, but was blown away how addictive the competitiveness of competing with other shooters all over the US.

With that being said, shooting the popsicle targets for speed is not what I’m speaking of.

Mixed.
If this is specifically aimed (pun) at EBR, I’m a bit divided. This was my first match of this caliber (pun) of any sort and I went there targeting (another pun) XFT. I’ve been shooting that discipline for a couple of years now. I even went to the night match Ben put on the night before.
When I signed up, it was the same cost regardless of disciplines shot so I signed up for all classes but big bore. (I don’t have one)
Benchrest had never had an appeal to me for some reason until EBR. THE 50 yard was really challenging, mostly because I sucked. I was not looking forward to the 75 yard qualifier because of the 50. But having learned from my 50 yard debacle the first card at 75 went better (200 2x) and the second card of the 75 yard went far better than I could have expected, 235 7x, the highest card in sportsman. it wasn’t enough to put me in the 100 yard finals but enough to help change my thinking about benchrest and next year.
My XFT was mediocre as I struggled with magazines and was afraid of running out of time. By the last lane I was totally comfortable and cleared the entire lane.
Even though I won absolutely nothing I had a blast and I’ll be back next year. So if you’ve read this far and have not attended such an event, you really should put it on the 2023 calendar. See you there!

Same here. Sadly there isn't an airgun match held anywhere within about 300 miles of me. I am working on changing that!
