Fast to charge CO2 handgun?

Had a mongoose sneak up on me while I was sitting in my truck in the middle of a mac nut field(don't ask). Couldn't swing my rifle around without scaring the rodent. What's needed is a quick to charge CO2 handgun. It will sit with a fresh unpunched cartridge and a loaded magazine in place. When needed it would be cool if It would charge without to much fuss. What guns should be considered? Thanks.

It’s actually a replica of their 22 Long rifle gun they used to make. I wasn’t crazy about the appearance either but got one for a real good price and once I seen how it shoots I didn’t care anymore. Very accurate.Umarex Makes a few also but are in 17 caliber. Theirs has a little plate or lever underneath the grips that you just push up and it Pierces the cartridge.I have the Walther CP 88 that they make that works like that. But they are way under powered for what you need. You’re gonna have to not worry about looks and find some thing that works.Did you look at the other Crosman Guns?Mark 1 that looks like a German Luger .They made a few guns that had a Plunger on them. But through the years they changed some of them on how you pierced the cartridges.

Only the early S&W's had adjustable triggers. They're the good ones. The Mk1's copied the Mk1's. Ruger Mk1 that is. Lol! Get one with the adjustable trigger. Some don't have it. Ok if there is a hole drilled and tapped for a set screw. Just add it. Some aren't drilled. Any Crosman Co2 pistol with a screw on cap will work. Just don't screw it down all the way until you need it. Crosman 150's shoot really well. Even better if you drill and tap a hole in front of the trigger guard to allow a set screw to remove most of the creep in the trigger. Greatly improves the trigger. Only issue is now the safety can't engage. Doesn't bother me especially with a single shot that can also be uncocked easily.

How big are your mongeese? A mongoose is a rodent?

Mongeese? 😏

I know it’s a copy of the mark one Ruger pistol. Because I used to have one. Bought it in 1973 for 75 bucks brand new.But they both still resemble a German Luger. And although the early Smith and Wesson’s did have An adjustable trigger,They also had problems with some of the early ones with very porous castings that would cause leaking.

Hello. It's a little large and loud but how about a used Evanix AR6 pistol or Evanix Renegade pistol. 6 really good round in 700 to 800 fps area. Hopes this helps. Eric

There you go this is one of the most powerful pistols you can go with and a 6 shot repeater with a revolver hammer. Never mind the sound of almost a firearm that mongoose will be hamburger.

Maybe a AEA HP Semi automatic or a PP 750. I was going to get a PP 750 but it had mixed reviews. Although most of the reviews were good. And I am interested in the AEA HP semi automatic myself but just don’t have the money for it yet.

My PP700s are more accurate than my PP750s.

I’m glad I changed my mind and bought the PP 700 instead. I can’t complain about the accuracy at all. All I did was back the hammer spring off just a little. And it don’t take that long to reload it again. At least I don’t think so.
