FAS 6004 Pellet Seating

I bought the FAS 6004 from AoA a while back anticipating my retirement. Now that I've reached that exalted condition I've been spending time with the 6004. The 2 pellets I purchased for it are the RWS R10s and the new H&N Green wadcutters. The R10s work fine but the H&N Greens require seating just a little bit otherwise the pellet will just sit in the breach and not go anywhere. They need to engage the rifling perhaps 1/16 of an inch or so to fire. I've used several small devices but everything I've tried so far pushes the pellet too far into the rifling. I've tried a plastic pencil, a plastic drywall anchor, and a metal pen. All push too far. I'd prefer to use lead free pellets if possible. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

a 6.5 mm to 3.5 mm stereo plug adapter might work, I test on my 6004 and it will seat it about .8 mm

it is a little long to get in there but will work or could be shortened

I have seen these in other post over time not an original idea

R10 is a good pellet maybe just use that ( but try some JSB as time allows) and you can rig something but perhaps do a google (then image) search for the old school "Beeman Pellet Seater" round ball on one end doesn't damage skirts and you get exactly the same depth everything-very important no matter what- and a more pointed end for springer needing it. But some purpose built device is good.

I've decided to sell the pistol. My local gun range has begun air pistol silhouette matches and I believe that my HW45 will serve that purpose better. 18 yards is pretty far for a pistol that shoots a 7.0 pellet at 330 fps. In fact, it would bottom out the rear sight. I can still use the HW45 for postal matches. More difficult certainly, but it can be done. Thanks to all for responding with helpful comments. Got a bit spun up I guess. Too much time on my hands.

The FAS 6004 is a very accurate pistol. However some of them come from the factory with the barrel not adjusted properly. Some barrels are not far enough rearward to seal good when closing. and some are so tight they mar the frame when closing the barrel. I think it was on the target talk forum they show a step by step fix and replacement orings. I went thru this with mine. before the fix it got where you could see the pellets fly. I don't remember the FPS. I called FAS they know the problem but were no help with me. and didn't offer to fix my pistol even tho it was new.
