A fun exercise, but always surprising when one accounts for inflation (plus some other variables). Seems that $118.50 in 1970 is “worth” about $866.50 today. When you reverse that process you can see that some of the prices of today, when adjusted for inflation, are pretty close. Some are “cheaper” today than they were then, take the Weihrauch HW 35, it’s cheaper today than when it was in 1970. I’ll take 2
