Plink, hunt, compete, back yard friendly, ‘so many pellet choices’, now even slugs! Have had Lots of Different calibers always go back to a .177 as my favorite! (FUN!,FUN!,FUN!)

Uses less air more shots quieter than larger calibers more capacity in some magazines safer to shoot. YO!

It is sooo great to hear from all the fans of this caliber. Sometimes I feel it gets so little attention outside of the field target scene.
Tom, keep us posted on your slugs. I want to see you shoot that can at 100 yards at the cub this year!

Making my own slugs with the GMI die set has been a great experience

There is a lot of bearing surface on those slug. I'm sure they engage the rifling well and wont rock. The BC might be questionable but it isn't showing up a 75yrds.

iTS CALLED THE LAZER Caliber because its super Flatter trajectory, I bought a 177 Vulcan #2 I was not impressed with the gun until I adjusted it to shoot 900 + FPS, The little pellets are real pisser to load in a spring magazine but I put up with it , (big fat fingers) , Exact shot placement is key to any hunting with the 177 Unless you are like me and shoot a lot of sparrows , It also gives you the dam affect when you pull the 25 caliber out and shoot a few sparrows , Dam thats loud, Not the gun but the pellet hitting the little sparrow.....

The .177cal is where it all started for me. Back yard friendly. The wizzle of the bigger calibers can be detected...the zirp..of the.177cal is more difficult. Love to make some semi boattailed bullets in 23-25 grain for this caliber. Some .177s by Beaumonts are into +40-50 ft/ibs...Yes the BB has come a long way..

.177 is my favorite caliber, a big plus for me is the impact of the pellet is a lot more discreet than my larger calibers.

Thank you, To be honest! I doubt if I tried this tomorrow I could duplicate these groups? Wind or no wind! Just one of those days!, one more note I only shot today to do a function test for two CARM mags. I bought from a forum member elh0102, buy with confidence!
