Falcon parallax

i Think so. Thin enough for shooting HFT anyway. I had a Hawke Sidewinder on my gun before and it’s as thin as theirs.

FWIW.... if your wanting to shoot HFT know there isn’t a 16x mark so just put it on 15x.

If you are going to use it for FT you will be impressed with the scopes’ depth of field. Very tight unlike other brands where you can’t discern between 35 and 45 yards. That’s why I selected a Falcon.

It gets blurry past 20x-22x LOTSA color flare higher you go past that. Reticle is PERFECT just like TAC Vectors and BSA same MFG from China. SAVE $$$ Aim Sports Alpha6 or JSAR clearer and brighter no contest. You can go cheap $10-$14 UTG side wheel and mod it to fit simple. YO!

Sorry YO but you can’t fit the UTG wheel on a Falcon 3-18i. The inner diameter of the back of the hub of the UTG is within thousandth of that of the outer diameter of the parallax wheel of the Falcon. At least without risking damage to the turret or trashing the UTG scope wheel.
Furthermore, I respectfully disagree with you on your two points here:

1- vettnut is asking about a 3-18 power scope. It doesn’t have a 20 or 22 magnification. However, your probably right, if he twist the magnification ring hard enough to get to a 20 or 22 power it will probably be blurry.

2- what is “flair”? I think you misspelled “flare”. And I think what you are suggesting is a “chromatic aberration” . Sorry I can’t say I’ve experienced this or any other aberration in either my 3-18 or my 5-30 regardless of magnification. Typically I will use a sunshade on a bright sunny day.
Just not seeing it in either of my Falcons.

@vettnut - you can go cheap and rest assured you will get cheap. I speak from experience.
I suggest getting a wheel made for the scope.

I have a sidewheel that for sure fits the Falcon s3-18i scope. I bought the wheel but never bought the scope so it is new. I dont want it. How about 25$ plus a little bit for postage?

I'm specifically referring to the 5-30x model same one the OP is referring to. I had the 5-30x and I don't normally return scopes but I did on that one so I must have gotten a really defective one I guess. (for example purposes only) I have 3 MTC Viper Pro 5-30x that also exhibit the bluriness past 23-24x but maybe I got 3 defective MTCs too. Not bashing MTC Optics as a company just those $649 Viper Pro scopes. Their 3-12x Connect SCOPES are awesome! My Bushnell Elite Tactical 4.5-30x is clear all the way to 30x for reference but has a 25yd minimum focus $599 clearance price. YO!

How do you manage to own every item ever talked about? Raining gold bars or what?

I bought a couple of the Falcon 5-30 scopes awhile back. They were clear until about 20X and then started to get a bit milky. At 15X, the scope is sharp and clear and has a fairly thin plane of focus - very good for FT and better than most in this price class. However, I ended up returning both scopes for 1 reason - the turrets were horrible. They felt distinctly cheap-Chinese made. They were worse than any other $100+ scope that I've used. It's too bad because the scope was a good buy otherwise.

If it were raining gold bars I would have my own island in the Caribbean and not be on lockdown passing time on this forum trying to help people make more informed decisions before spending their hard earned money and later regretting it thank you. YO!

Don’t regret it! I’m amazed! Still am! Good for you. I’ve got nearly nothing. Someday when I make serious money I’ll buy a couple more. Until then I am just pestering posters that have a ton of products I want!
