just because it can handle the 300 mag doesnt mean it can handle the double recoil of a springer. Some mild mannered springers have torn up quiet a few magnum rated rifle scopes.
Not sure I would trust that answer but on the other hand it could last forever.

I am quite surprised just how good this "cheap" scope turned out to be. The parralax adjustment is still stiff, but it works great and views well. At least on a pcp, on a springer all bets are off.

I second this. I've had one of my (rather expensive) scopes that I used on firearms before, quickly and utterly destroyed by a springer. Only then did I learn about this forward-backward force that's created by piston travel when you shoot. Fortunately, the scope had a lifetime warranty, and I had no problem getting a replacement one. But since then, I'm very careful about what I put on a springer. And I actually moved on to PCPs already.

I did try to explain to aimsports rep that a springer has a reverse recoil but he said I would be good and if something happens just send it back.

As long as they stand behind their warranty you have nothing to worry about other then down time and cost of shipping it to them if it breaks. Let us know how it stands up.

Then try it out on a springer and hold them to their word if it fails
. It will be their loss, nothing really to worry about. And it would be a very interesting low-cost experiment. Please keep us posted how it holds up to the reverse recoil!Upvote 0
I will keep you all posted ...the alpha6 I won on ebay seems very solid so I bought a second one from usa optics for $96 shipped new.

The build quality exceeds a lot of scopes I have owned and I have 3 hawke frontiers so I'm familiar with decent scopes.

Hawke, is middle of the road but for me it's gd but I have owned swfa,athlon,sightron,vortex ,utg,centerpoint,weaver,bushnell,leapers...I feel like a slutty scope and airgun owner because of all I have owned lol

I would sort it like this: sig sauer, vortex, nightforce, athlon, swfa, bushnell, utg, leapers, hawke, centerpoint
No experience with: weaver, sightron

springers I own.

The Glass on these scopes are good but the adjustments are fine so when zooming you nd to take it easy

A member here in the past compared the Glass to the hawke frontier and I really don't agree at all that they are the same ....I have the new hawke frontier scopes and they are very very sharp.
