Factory Regulated Daystate Regal Shot Count

I did not know that Daystate had updated their Huntsman with a side lever, that should be a really nice rifle!

Literally revealed today. Huntsman Revere, get it? Independence Day, Paul Revere Reveal. Anyway....they funny like that, the British are coming and all...

Yes, one if by bolt action, two if by side lever....

I was able to shoot a string of 18.1's on a 250bar fill, 150bar reg pressure and 95 degrees while shooting it.

867 866 866 865 857 865 862 865 866 863 866 869 870 862 865 864 864 867 864 861 870 861 861 868 866 859 861 861 858 861 862 860 855 852 850 847

I'm calling it 32 shots, 30 of those with in 10fps and a couple just out. Seems like there's always one of two to foul up a string. Not sure where that first 857 came from, maybe just a bad pellet. Got to hand it to Huma for producing such a fine product.

My Daystate Huntsman Regal XL Huma Regulated in .20 cal (yes factory. 20 cal) yielded the below shot string from almost a 250 bar fill. The pellets used were JSB Match Diabolo Exact Heavy 15.89 grains domed pellets. The pellets were not weighed, lubed or sorted and the barrel was not cleaned. I know you asked for .22 but I’m using a heavy .20 cal pellet.

I took photos of the pressure gauge before, during and after the shot string and of the regulator gauge after the shot string.

Hello Serdac

Your photos show a fill pressure gauge AND a regulator gauge.

Are both original equipment on the factory outfitted Huma regulated Huntsman HR XL?

If so, it makes e wonder how one retrofits the 2nd gauge when installing a Huma into an unregulated rifle.

Ed

There's a HUMA fill probe conversion at the end of the reservoir where the male Foster and fill dust cap used to be with a manometer to read overall tank pressure while the factory under the stock manometer reads regulator pressure only.

Thanks, Yo

Sold by Huma?

My search of their website just turned up empty

Ed,

Everything is 110% factory original. Daystate sells a factory Huma regulated version that comes with the regulator gauge and a fill pressure gauge and a non regulated model that comes with only a fill pressure gauge, I believe you can add an aftermarket Huma regulator to the non regulated model. I don’t know if you can add a regulator gauge to it though.

Thanks for the reply, Serdac

According to member Yo, there is an aftermarket fill set with gauge from Huma for use with their regulator

Still searching for it, as it's not coming up on the Huma web site.

I imagine your gun is relatively new,and you won't be taking it apart anytime soon

However, should you ever need to disassemble some of the top end, I'd really appreciate a PM with pictures & dimensions of the hammer spring components of the regulated version

They are the hammer spring, spring shim (or bushing), and spring sleeve.

So far, no one I've contacted has been willing to say with certainty twhether the components of regulated & non-regulated Huntsman are the same or different.
