Factory 12 ft.lb Weihrauch HW97

Does Weihrauch actually produce a 12 ft.lb HW97 or do third party sellers in countries with power restrictions tune the factory 15 ft.lb model down? I was planning on ordering a 12 ft.lb HW97 from Krale, but of course they are sold out, that is how my luck goes. The actual Weihrauch site doesn't list a 12 ft.lb model in the specs, only the 290 m/s in .177, that is closer to the 15 ft.lb power if i did the math correctly.

If it's not a factory 12 ft.lb rifle, rather than take my chances on something that a third party tuned down, I would rather just buy the 15 ft.lb model and tune it down my self.

I have a factory 12 ft lb HW97 and shoot with a friend who has one too. One other friend ordered a full power HW97 about the same time as me and his actually was actually shooting about 13 ft lb. If you aren't specifically going to be shooting WFTF class field target, order the full power one and shoot it. If you are shooting WFTF, you may end up needing a tune anyway, so it may end up a wash.

Yep. The full power .177 hw97k I ordered shot at 13.5fpe out of the box.

Lower fpe is more accurate in my opinion. My factory gun came in at 14 ft lbs from Airguns of Arizona. Over time it lost a bunch of power, but it's accuracy improved. I discovered a broken mainspring. Recently I replaced the broken spring with a Vortek sub-12 ft. lb. kit. and changed seals. It's shooting a bit light, about 10-11 fpe., but accuracy is the best I have been able to do so far. I'm considering putting a couple of washers to up the pellet speeds just a bit. I don't know what washer size to get. Anybody know?

The actual power is not that important for me. I am just looking for maximum accuracy/minimal recoil. If the full power version is really only shooting 13 or so ft.lb, there may not be much difference in accuracy/recoil. I emailed Krale, said they should have the 12 ft.lb. version in stock in a week or so. I'll wait until next week, if they don't have them in I may just order a full power version and shoot it, put a couple tins of pellets through it and see how it goes. If necessary, I am capable of changing the spring and I have a lathe and some delrin, can make my own guide and top hat if needed.
