You can deride the use of camo which in the main is used to confuse the eyes and brains of human beings and it will be used by armies the world over, in various patterns and colours to fool the enemy.. The use of ammo to fool wildlife is questionable.

You have to wonder. Sometimes I stand behind a post on my porch. Not moving I watch a crow approaching. They get so far and do a 180. This happened a few times.

I’ve watched from my living room many times as well, difference is they land.

I think in wild not a bad idea, around farms, not necessary, makes sense birds are familiar. Crow
