Eye focus peace slop

My eye piece has a little wiggle in it to where it's noticeable, will that affect point of impact? should I just screw it down flush to the scope and don't worry about it? . And I have to have it pretty far out for my eye clarity more out more wiggle I would suppose.

Yeah, need to have mine out pretty far to get that reticle nice and sharp, scope not much good to me otherwise. I've noticed I can move slightly back and forth but no problems sighting in and holding POI. WM

use o rings over the space of the threaded part

Mmm, maybe choose a better grade of scope next time.
This is unacceptable. BUT...it also, should not hurt the aiming process, unless you bump the eyepiece. while aiming.
While I only have a few scopes, none...have a loose eyepiece. Some are tight, some are very tight...all with no eyepiece movement, unless turned by hand.

If the scope is new, try contacting the manufacturer or the seller, and see about a return.
