Ok been playing around with the idea for a while in shooting past 100 yards trying to get those extreme long distance shooting. So my question is there any agreement on one of the best long distance airguns that you can purchase stock? Some of the limitations are wind say average 10 miles an hour so BC is somewhat important.
Some limitations are
1 wind .... the lighter the pellets or worse BC the more wind drift.
2. Power, The more power generally the flatter shooting
3. Consistency, the less the FPS deviation the better.
4. Air Supply the large the air supply the better for power and consistency.
My thoughts are a RAW .357 in the 160 FPE or 130 FPE or 90 version ? Curious if anybody has shot rifles in the 150 to 200 yard range. I seen some texans but the lack of consistent shot counts or regulator puts this as hit or miss. I had a .308 texan and was not happy with the 100 yard groupings. I could out shoot my texan .308 with my fx impact any day of the week at 100 yards.
Anybody suggest a 150 yard accurate air rifle or if it is even made ?
Jay
