When you have one scope mounted on a favorite gun but yet shoot different weight pellets or slugs or even multiple calibers from day to day it's a pain in the butt changing out yardage tapes or stickers on the turret. When I had a Sightron SIII on my Impact I solved that by ordering a couple of sets of turret adjusting knobs for like $29 a set and then had specific tape on these for different projectiles, a quick swap out and re-zero and I was good to go. When I got a new Athlon Midas Tac for the my Impact purchasing spare turret knobs wasn't an option from Athlon. The wheels started turning and I came up with the idea making some removable sleeve out of PVC. I used 1" and chucked up short pieces in my lathe and reamed out the ID to the right size, just tight enough that it'll slide on but tight enough that it wont turn accidentally. I then marked the yardages and even the tune specifics on each sleeve. For added protection from the elements and finger oils I then put a wrap of Scotch tape over the markings. Seems to working very well. I currently have sleeves made up for JSB Heavies, JSB 30cal and NSA 29.0's. Might be something ya'll could find useful.
