Excellent mod CII K .177

I found and added a new gun on top of picture a Excellent Cll K .177 round ball.

It will complement my 1940"s Excellent Cll K .21 caliber round ball airgun bottom of picture. They were made in Sweden, and multi pump pneumatics.

There were several models made. some with smooth bore and rifling in the last few inches of the barrel others are fully rifled. They offered both full size and carbine. The K signified carbine.

Their first airgun was patented in 1904, 1908 they patented a CO2 airgun. They also made an odd top lever spring-piston rifle for a brief time in the early 1920s, as well as a triggerguard-lever rifle.
They also made three versions of breakbarrel springers. The first one was made from 1933 to 1949 and the second and third were more robust guns made from 1949-1959.

Their pre WWII production is estimated at 8,000 rifles. They actually made 3500 rifles during the war, from 1943 – 1945. From 1945-1970 they produced as many as 25,000 rifles.

When I received the .177 last night it would not pump. I removed the pump handle and unscrewed the end plug took out the pump and spring. The leather was dried rock hard.
I took a small container added about 1/2 inch of 30W non detergent oil stood the pump rod and seal on end overnight.
The leather softened I opened up the seal cup and the put the gun back together.
Worked like a charm as it does with dried leather seals. The gun can now be pumped and shot.

Shot it 5 or six times. I will stand it in the corner until Friday night. Chrony, Shoot it and test it.
