Evol 22csl magazine woes

@madeintheuk Mag issues were discussed in another thread “All Things Evol.”. A few members mentioned having issues with their magazine. Been there personally. I also communicated my issue with folks at AOA and was told to buy a new mag. I ended up buying two CARM mags instead and should’ve bought four. Many months later, maybe a year, I happened to mention the mag issue to Tom when he was talking me through a different issue. When I told him about my mag issue, he apologized for what someone at AOA suggested. He sent me a new mag and asked me to send him my problem magazine. I sent it and he returned it to me in working order. Now I have CARM and Evol mags. I like them both.

Tom also got back to me through messages here, and said to send the mags in for warranty repair. I explained what AOA had told me, and I’m waiting for a response back from him as AOA is the servicing dealer for his stuff.

@madeintheuk Hopefully you’ll like them. When I first saw mine I thought they looked cheap. After having and using them over a year, I haven’t had any issues. The drawbacks are that they hold one round less than the factory Evol mags (in .30 cal) and once they go to crap, I’m not sure if there’s much that can be done to fix them. But for the price point if I drop one or scratch it, so what. I just want them to work and they’ve continued to do that.

Tom is a stand up guy. He will take care of you.
Agreed, he stands by his products!

these 22 cal mags are the same 11 shots as the factory mags. as Long as they index properly with hades, I’ll be ecstatic! And just like you said, even if they break, so what. They’re super cheap compared to the factory mags.

@madeintheuk Win win for you if they hold the same number of pellets as the factory mags. I’ve had zero issues shooting Hades out of my .30 CARM mags. I don’t think you’ll have issues with the Hades cycling through your mags. They shot fine out of mine every time. Sounds like it’s time for you to get back to shooting that Evol. Looks like you’re gonna be buying more pellets.

Tom is awesome! I do have a Carm coming for mine as I ordered one from him for my Notos so thought I'd throw one in the cart anyways. My Evol mag works well but have had it a few times on around the 9th or 10th shot get hung up alittle. I shoot 16gr FX and sometimes 14.3gr CPHPs. I will play with mine and see if I can duplicate it. BTW mine is also very good with CPHPs out to 50yds also. @madeintheuk knows that though as he contacted me wondering how they shot in mine before he got his.
