Skout Everything Skout EVO and Epoch

It came down to a issue or at least concern of maintaining the incoming air from bottle at a semi consistent pressure so the on-board regs in turn showed less deviation in pressure .... A very neurotic pursuit of looking for any little bit of a tighter ES value.
* We know how that turned out for FX, having many remove one.
*** Tho do understand the LP reg is ONLY for feeding the solenoid that unbalances the spool valve opening it ;) So in reality for the actual air used to propel the projectile there is only one regulator in stock configuration.

It regulates the air that goes into the bottle while i am tethered to the tank and is fully adjustable and very accurate.
You can shoot hundreds of rounds without ever worrying about filling your bottle.
So yes, I get them especially on guns that don’t use 4500 psi like a 10 m guns. I appear to using this because I want to be able to fill your spare tank to 4500 but say you’re gonna only take 2000 this is a way to regulate the air coming into your tank..

What I’m talking about is one between the on board bottle and the gun, regulating out going air pressure before it ever hits the high-pressure regulator.
trying to understand why this would be beneficial and why some people are using it.

Aside from the FX there are a few guns with two regs, the idea being to give the main reg an easier time of it and helping to keep any creep to a minimum, I actually have a spare Lane bottle reg that I might at some time try and see if it makes any difference, but I suspect I will need an adapter or two to fit it,
As the Epoch HP reg is fully adjustable both up and down under load I am not sure just how much it will benefit but maybe worth a try, but as I got a 150 shot string with an ES of 14 and an average of 2.5 at the range yesterday I am not in a hurry just yet, add to that I am now seeing a full mag for only 10bar air consumption I think that pretty dam good.;)

The other slightly annoying thing is if I were to use one of these, in line regulators it makes the bottle to gun sooo long, especially since I’m using a 700cc bottle already.
the skout, on|off bottle control adapter is already a bit long..

the problem I see with using a spare tank to bottle regular is it forces you to use a spare tank all the time because it prevents you from filling the onboard tank to capacity, only allowing you to fill it to whatever the spare is set to…… essentially requiring you to tether it if you want any sort of capacity

I spoke with Bill G and some of his crew when up in Oregon this past spring at the EFT/BR event.
The parts to make it happen they ( Skout ) were not manufacturing and sourced said adaption parts from one of the ASIAN web sellers such as TEMU or something like that. I did a bit digging around shortly after that weekend and came up empty as I really never had any hard specification & none were offered or known by the skout crew at that time.

Hi Mr Motorhead.. not so good with these computer chats but.. I saw a photo with a Skout Epoch with a bipod attached to the sides of the gun. Curently using a bipod with a bottle adapter and its just tooooo high. I was wondering if someone could point me to where SIDE mounted or barrel UNDER the bipod accessory is available. I live in Santa Rosa and kinda new to PCP with my 25 Epoch and Huben 25. Also looking for a place to shoot NOIT with magnum powder burners!
Thank you
Paul
