Every invasive pest bird counts....How much dairies lose annually

Maybe not at federal but check state. In Idaho all but the last two are protected, or have a season where they are allowed to be hunted. Of those, only the American Crow is allowed, the others are “song birds.”


The same thing applies here in Tennessee, sort of. Yes they are all listed in the Federal Migratory Bird Act as songbirds and the same I. The state laws but there is a clause in the MBA where they can be taken along with several other species. This is according to the nice lady I spoke with who just happens to be the regional director of the US Fish and Wildlife. She told me the place to find the deprivation permit (not needed to have on your person) which I now keep a screenshot of in my phone. I think it is 50 CF 24.13 if I remember correctly.
