Came on a used Diana 48. The only markings on it are "Australia" on the insides aspect of the ring bases and "1888C" near one of the recoil arrestor pins. There are 2 recoil arrestor pins. I compared the spacing distance of the pins to current production RWS Lock down mounts and it is identical.
Mount looks very well made, high quality and robust. I was going to sell it along with the "parts scope" (Blue Ribbon 66RL that has a loose ocular eye piece) but I'll hold on to the mount and use it soon
.
If anybody has any info to put this puzzle together (who made it, when, for what rifles, etc), please chime in.
