How to make a small fortune selling airguns? Start with a large one.

For 250k, I'd expect it to come with the machines personally, I don't see the value in the brand/logo/cad drawings/booster rights.

The extreme booster pump is very niche (much like big bores making 1k fpe), sure its a cool product and concept, but not something every air gunner needs. It's not rocket science to design their big bores nor the booster pump / air column amplifier.

I wouldn't expect to recover 250k for a very long time here, heck even this company is a division of a bigger one simply cutting its losses as air gunning has really lost a lot of its steam in popularity imo... (should be a light bulb for anyone with 250k+)

Parent company has all this...this outfit is gargantuan.

$250k might be a bargain, or it could be WAY overpriced, I would have to see their books to see if this was even remotely a possibility, but with the economy on a path to a deep recession, now would not be the time I would want to be buying a discretionary product manufacturer like this. Since this does not include the machines, nor the experienced machinists, that cost would need to be considered in addition to the $250k. They listed the machine code for making the parts as an asset, that only has some value if you have the same machines with the same controllers, otherwise, you will need to make your own code for what you do have, and spend time fine tuning it.

Unless they have a valid patent on any of their products, there is not much standing in the way of someone copying the designs and making their own at a far less cost than buying this company. I’m pretty good at reverse engineering products and could probably come up with a copy without my wife even noticing what I spent. The only advantage to the existing company is they might have some brand awareness that gives them an advantage over an unknown company. With the path I believe the economy is on, I think we are going to see many more opportunities like this, so they are probably smart to try and cash out now, but at first blush, I don’t see how what they listed is worth any more than $50k.

That's the truth. All they want is booze and dope money from enablers. Lock em up and get em sober for a minute. That's the best thing to do. for them. And bless those lost souls.

No. My wife and I each own our own business. I had mine appraised last year. After going through the process, knowing what I have in the way of actual equipment to do the service we provide and the list of clients with recurring work, I find $250K for what is offered rather hard to understand.
Not exactly like they were taking the market by storm or even creating a new market.
I can tell you one thing for certain. Owning your own business is highly over rated and you better have the right attitude if you are going to take it on especially in today’s business environment.
