Yeah, that’s it exactly…why the hate for this gun? I mean, has this in some way impacted your life negatively?So originally you payed and extra grand for 2 barrels that didn't work,...what a deal

I don't hate the gun itself I really couldn't care less,....what I hate IS, when companies come out " I just made the gun that will make all other guns obsolete " that is what I hate,....anybody here remembers the Rogue ?
...the best part was when the gun that is supposed to make all other guns obsolete got smoked by a brand new gun from China that never said a word,...That's the way to do it less yapping more concrete action.
Yeah I got a ton of s#it back in the day on the Yellow for criticjsing the Rouge, a ton......guess what, 2 years later was pulled from production

@Nomadic Pirate 66 Wasn’t the Rogue’s issue that the electronics were susceptible to water infiltration? Dunno what spurred the Epoch price drop.

Comparing the Rogue to the Scout is an apples to oranges comparison.
The Rogue was made by Crosman who has zero experience with designing electronic airguns and big bore airguns(at that time). Yes Lloyd Sikes developed the original idea they bought from him but he had no say in the production version.
The Skout is developed by a company that has EXTENSIVE experience in electronic pneumatics. Which IMO is most important part regarding the success of their airgun. For being a paintball company they didn’t do too bad with the barrel mounting system as well. Whereas Crosman used the same system as the marauder. The Rogue actually shares many parts as the marauder. No doubt a move to keep costs down and speed up production. Whereas the Skout is built from scratch. And from the glowing reviews, the build quality is on par with similar priced airguns.
It’s funny how people complain when the price was too high and then complain about the price dropping lol. So what they came out swinging and now have adjusted their price. Much better to start high then go lower than to sell yourself short. So far the Skout it much more successful than the Rogue.

Not comparing at all,....just not fond of companies that come out with claims that their product is the best ever and will obliterate the competition making everything else obsolete.
Let costumers say that, stop yapping and let performance do the talking.
so far for a gun built for competition they got smoked not only by established brands but also by un unheard of before gun just coming out of China.

The only yapping is coming from you! Consider the shooters at RMAC, THE Skout finished second in sportsman, against a pro shooter, and it was the young shooters second ever competition. I have no idea if this gun will win competitions, time will tell. Your stand against Skout is odd and I believe misplaced, but you do you Manny…bash on!

Product was rushed to market imo. They have dragged their feet in offering the smaller calibers and some other minor things, in some ways the first buyers were beta testers (product rushed).
Market ultimately determines the value, if they sell they sell, if not, they go to a landfill eventually...

Nah man, my boys have room in these boxers. Skout has been very good to me, their customer service is the best I’ve experienced by far, so I can’t be impartial at this point. I find most advertising for airguns a bit over the top.

Yes.
(The reason they gave was b/c they removed the barrels, the why is much more likely b/c actual sales #s were lower than they hoped for at the higher price. So, a way to save face).
