Epic morning on woodchucks!!

I killed the mom last Thursday but didn't recover her....she was huge!!!

Got these three young ones this morning from the same pile of wood where I shot her. 

Then saw this adult one while getting back in the car. Turns out this adult survived a glancing head shot I made on him at 52 yards on Thursday. ...you can see the graze mark on his head.

I have the footage for all but the mother chuck. It will make for a good video.

Still haven't seen a pigeon. I wanted to get some birds with the TDR today. Maybe I'll find them at a different farm.

Nice haul Bob . Looks like I'm going to have to wait for the weather to straighten out so the farmers can get their first cutting of hay down , way to tall to see anything around here and rain every other day . I need to get myself a few of the little ones to cook .

Everything is drying out here and it barely got green much less tall. :-(

The ground hogs around here don’t give us any second chances.
i swung by an alfalfa field I hunt tonight and the farmer finally did his first cutting this weekend. 
I’ll be out there tomorrow.
Again, great job on the video. They can be tough to kill at times.

Well done on the chucks... I've only gotten 8 so far this year but I only hunt the 30 acres around my home. Best so far was 68 yards right in the ear. Good luck in knocking a few more down.
