Epic Epic 2 Walnut Classic: Question Regarding Regulator Adjustment Access

Morning y'all

I have a question regarding the regulator adjustment on my EPIC 2 walnut classic. As shown in the attached photo illustrating the adjustment point, it is not accessible with the stock installed.

Is this normal, or are there methods to allow the regulator to be adjusted while the gun remains mounted in the stock?

The air tank assembly (Plenum, Regulator housing, Air tank) are all hand tightened, and fully screwed together until each component bottoms out against each other and then to the main block.

I believe you can loosen the regulator and plenum enough to rotate them upward so you adjusting tool will just fit. My EPIC Two Compact components were loose upon arrival and I did just that, rotate the regulator to obtain just enough clearance for the adjustment tool. Hope this helps and I would like to know what the manufacturer tells you.

How do you like your EPIC? What caliber did you purchase? Have you worked up a tune for it yet or are you running the factory tune? I really like the walnut stock. It wasn't available when I bought.

Thanks for the reply! We're in the same boat, my components were also a bit loose when it arrived. I considered adjusting the threads to get the alignment I need, but it's just off by a hair, so I'd have to back it out almost a full rotation. I'll definitely update this thread once I hear back from the manufacturer.

I had read that HAM article and that is the alignment I am trying to achieve.

I went with the .25 cal, but I haven't pressurized or shot it yet. I'm hoping to get this alignment sorted out first. Also saw that they offer just the walnut stock now.

if you don’t mind, where did you get it from (or did you get the stock separately)? It’s very high on my wish list but didn’t see any in stock for a while (other than in Europe and stupid tariff uncertainty makes me not want to order high from across the pond right now…)…

I imported across the pond from balistas. My total cost was $2509.20 (extra barrel and other accessories) which includes $105 for shipping. I paid another $348.12 upon delivery to UPS which is about 14.5%. The only US dealer I could find is showing a list price of $2250.00 (pre-order) which is about 20% more than what I paid for the gun alone. Sales tax where I live is 7%.

Epic got back to me with the following, I had also asked them to confirm if leaving things a little loose was okay and normal:

If you want to get access with the wooden stock fitted, you can degas the rifle and once there is no air inside, you can freely move and rotate with the air tank, plenum and regulator housing part. So you can point it up a little bit to have access for the adjustment.

It does not matter if they are loose a little bit, there is really long thread on all this parts. We use it in this way in all our rifles and from 3 000 rifles sold there was nothing wrong with it.

It is better to leave the same space from both side, not to loosen just from the one side of course.

It is the same with our bottle version, bottle is completely loose while there is no air in.
