OK
Curious if anyone has tried them for squirrel busting. I was looking at the 10power one. I usually use a FFP scope but I usually keep it around 8- 10 power anyways. This will be on a 25cal crown. The only problem I've heard about with the prismatic sight is that parallax has to be tweaked a lot. I'm just looking for something with a wide field of view to follow them through the trees.

Thanks
Jon

I have a 14x50 on my .25 Panthera Hunter Compact and love it. I've gotten squirrels at 80 yards with it and at 15 yards. The wide field of view is tough to lose going back to traditional scopes. The parallax is exceptional and focuses very nicely. I bought a 5x30 with longer eye relief so that I could use one of my PARD clip-ons on it. I'm 1.5 hours from you if you would like to try one one day!

Awesome! Glad to hear from a fellow Okie! I've got family in Tulsa, infact I was born there. I might take you up on the offer to look through it. You ever make it to OKC for FT or EFT?

Jon

I've been to EFT once but would like to get back to it and HFT. It would be easier for me to drive out and bring the stable with me if you have a place to shoot! Or I could meet you at the OKC range if you're a member. I shoot at a range in Tulsa. I'm really sold on the prismatics for hunting. I use hold overs and just focus and with the wide FOV, it's easy to spot the tree rats when they are running around!

Awesome! I will reach out to you in a message. I live out in the country and have plenty of places to shoot. Lots of pasture around my house right out my front door.

Thanks

If you like to stay a 8-10x zoom then stick with regular MPVO or medium power scope like 3-12 or 4-14. Prism scopes can have shallow depth of field which isn’t good for hunting. LPVO is really meant for lower magnification with super wide field of view. My backyard and hunting gun have 1-6x LPVO with the zoom set at 3-4 for 20-30 yard shots, the reason is super wide view and deep depth of field for fast target acquisition and shots. I basically point and shoot, hardly ever touch scope settings.
