Element Optics HELIX FFP Scope (Full Review) + APR-2D Reticle Explained

slow.1610210234.jpg

Hey Guys! This week I was able to put together a video on the HELIX FFP Rifle Scope by Element Optics. I received an FFP (First Focal Plane) version of the HELIX from FX USA and I was able to do some precision shooting with a few different guns. The APR-2D reticle, available in MOA or MRAD, was designed by Matt Dubber. The materials and design of these scopes are top notch. This Element HELIX FFP Scope review will tell you everything you need to know about Element Optic's newest line of high end rifle scopes...that are also affordable!

If you want to see more of this Helix FFP scope just watch my channel. There is a ton of great HELIX FFP footage on the way in my next 2 videos: the Caiman X and the Argus 60. Thanks for watching! -Nate

Nice shooting- I wasn’t a fan of the looks of the AirMarks Caiman- but starting to like it- looks like be nice hunting / pesting gun.
Last year I Got a Element Helix, put it on Daystate Huntsman Regal. I was having a bit of trouble with the eye relief, took bit to get used to it. I think it’s a good scope for the money though. Another good video 👍

I didn't like the looks of the Caiman either, but it's one of those guns that is awesome in person but looks funny in the pictures. I showed it to everyone who came by, and 95% of them said the same 2 words: "that's beautiful". ....It's a cool gun....1/2 inch groups at 75 yards. The review was fun to do. Next Saturday Caiman X!

Bought one for $300 new from DVOR several months ago that was $100 off regular selling price and still returned it because I didn't lije the glass at max power and the really tight eyebox.

Bought it to try for myself because some dipshtz (YEAH YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!) told me it's just as clear as his older Nightforce on his hunting gun and wanted me to send am Alpha6 to try.

Not even the $799 Titan is as clear which I returned as well.

Everytime I look at it I keep looking at it wondering if I like it or if I don't like it - like a lady that models and is strangely beautiful I suppose.

I should have a section in each of my reviews where I say, "Would I be sorry or happy if I bought this?" The Caiman I would definitely be happy, with no buyer's remorse if I bought that gun..same with a Tiapan Veteran long laminate. Some guns, you wake up each day and say, "I love this thing. I'm glad I bought this."

I wish I could show the review right now but it's gotta be on Saturday (for the most views).

The finish on the Caiman X is one of the smoothest surfaces I have ever felt. Hard and smooth, I have no idea how they got that finish.

...tried to upload a few more pics but my internet is too slow because of a blizzard.

Is this just a rebrand of the Ataman BP17? That's what it looks like. Just my opinion - but that stock and top wood piece are just, well, wow - how do I say this politely? It's making my eyes bleed.

The CaimanX looks like a pregnant goldfish compared to the Ataman BP17 that's the male version.

OR!

Pregnant Sperm Whale vs male Humpback.
