Element Optics Helix 4-16X44 FFP Scope Review/Comparison

Real tight eyebox. Otherwise a very decent scope.

Actually every aspect of a scope is a "feature" or compromise. The tight eyebox is by design to reduce parallax error or more precise shots, my long range scopes also have very tight eyebox and I'm fine with that. I have hunting scopes that have very generous/forgiving eyebox but by design has a ton of parallax error if cheek weld isn't dead on or parallax adjusted perfectly. Due to the goal of the scope's design to shoot house sparrows at over 100 yards the tight eyebox is needed to make that easier. Normal hunting scopes are designed to shoot 6 inch plates at 100-200 yards with center fire that has no drop till about 300 yards.
