Element Nexus

Some things to think about. First off, why was Matt Dubber so reluctant in disclosing which factory in Japan the Nexus was made? If it was manufactured at the L.O.W. factory in Japan, why not disclose it? It's not a bad thing to have a L.O.W. made optic. Nightforce uses them but NF takes the extra steps having stringent QC parameters to follow and that's where the higher cost difference comes in.

If you buy an Element Nexus and it wasn't what you expected for the price tag, you can sell it right? Maybe you could post it on the Classifieds here and have no problem selling it to someone who's into airguns. Try selling it in the open market catering to firearms and you'll have fewer interested buyers.

Take a look at Element's website under ABOUT US, "Meet the Team". It list all their placings in the airgun competition arena. Some PB guys might not take the company too seriously compared to the "Tier 1" brands out there.

But hey, don't knock it. Give it a chance and some time to make your decision. If the Nexus satisfies you optically, the turret tracking is spot on and it holds zero, then more power to you. What I would like to see is the Element line of scopes tested on some hard hitting firearm calibers like 338 Lapua, 300WM and some 50 cals. Mount it on a FN FAL for some shock testing.

Perhaps they where held to a Non Discloure Agreement as is pretty standard when the manufacturer has larger mainstream brand contracts, also if you followed the release information they implemented a very stringent QC program over and above what comes out of the existing factory...Cost of building scopes is the same, big established brands that got in first charge a premium for their name/ reputation...Element has to earn their position, price, value for money and service are a good way to start...When Element becomes synonymous with high end scopes, their pricing will go up...Its the nature of business...
