I'm a Hunter FT shooter and I have not heard anything about how well it rangefinds. That would make a big difference in my interest especially at 16 X . At $1500 it would have to be awfully good.

At $1500 it would have to be 2nd FP & have glass from Schott.
But that’s from a guy whose never owned anything more expensive than a Bushnell 4200. I’ve looked through top tier scopes and don’t see the need as I don’t compete, so I can use a rangefinder. I fully understand needing super crisp at every yard or better to use as a rangefinder.
I’m personally thrilled with Bushnell, old Weavers & T series, SWFA mil quad, Hawke AMX.
I would love to see Hawke’s ED Sidewinder as I owned their 1st one. Disappointed for the price is putting it nicely. Think I sold it in 2012 for $300 shipped.
