Element Helix SFP - my thoughts

Just got my Element Helix SFP yesterday and spent some times mounting it and correcting the side shot mount. Looking forwards to do some field testings. But so far I am quite impressed with it.

I got one last week from UA to use on my Daystate DW until my 34 mm rings show up for my Athlon Cronus. The turrets are rock solid, no play and line up perfectly. Apparently some of the first ones had issues. Supposedly the turrets were upgraded on the new FFP and the SFP.

So I have a helix for my impact, and after seeing the Nexus at work I got one for my Remington 700, I was gonna get this crazy top-of-the-line vortex but the Nexus seemed like it was worth the buy, and its worked pretty well on my Rem 700. I did drop my nexus pretty hard by an accident and sent it in, thank god it was fine but the customer service was easy to e-mail and got back to me fairly quickly. I did sell my SFP and get the FFP on the Helix though. nothing bad about the SFP I just prefer FFP.

@jbravo. sorry to hear you got issue with yours. Hopefully you will get an updated one.

@cmatera. thats good news. Hopefully mine is the upgraded one. I will need to go out and test.

@qball. I agreed with the price for its features and functions. I prefer the SFP as I don't normally zoom in on my shots. I have always kept mine at 10X, and now this Helix is 12X calibrated. Only time will tell if this scope is good enough for me.

@jayr. the Nexus would be nice but the price is a bit steep for me plus I don't need a FFP scope. So that option would not work for my liking anyway.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I will have to do a part 2 video with my findings.
