Recently acquired the EGW "Bell target" https://www.edgunwest.com/store/targets/item/bell-target/
These are made by someone in southern California. The design appears to have changed a little since EGW posted its advertisement.
The above is the front. I think those are my grimy fingerprints on it.
What they don't show on the EGW page is the internals.
It's a more or less traditional storefront bell, with a lever-arm connecting it to the entrance of a 3/8" hole. So depending on where you hit the target, you get a decidedly different ring response. The lever is arranged so that most of the force from the shot is not directed directly at the bell.
Seems like a reasonably well thought out target.
