EFT (GP) BR and Silhouette - Williams, AZ - UPDATED INFO ATTACHED

Well, we are 100% of the way to our final permit, so here are the details to date.

Attached is the registration and information pdf. Take a look and let me know if you have any questions. Sign up early and I will bring some info to Oregon this weekend also.

Dates - July 12th - 14th. On-site registration and sight in on Thursday afternoon July 11th. Cash prizes may be awarded based on registration.

Friday July 12th - EFT and BR round 1
Saturday July 13th - EFT and BR Round 2
Saturday evening - Dinner and awards for EFT and BR. Tentatively no finals for BR, we will use combined scores for each event.
Sunday, July 14th. - Silhouette 100 yard for .22 and .25. 200 yard for calibers over .25. Not a speed event - this will be a double elimination format with two competitors shooting against each other and one will continue in the main bracket and the other will move to the second bracket. Awards for this immediately following the event.

We may try to have some side shoots also - split the pot KYL shoot or something similar.

Breakfast and lunches will be available for purchase from the Boy Scouts and 4-H clubs. Dinner on Saturday provided.

There are numerous things to do in the Williams area, including the Grand Canyon, Bearizona, Grand Canyon Railroad, Wild West Shootouts downtown, Canyon Coaster Rides and a great Downtown area.

Camping is available either on the Forest Service in the surrounding area, or at a number of local campgrounds. The closest one is Kaibab Lake Campground, less than a mile away. Here is a link for information. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/kaibab/recarea/?recid=11659 Reserve you spot soon as it fills up fast for that time frame.

More information to follow.

@Martin3528,
Just want to say I'm really liking the format and scheduling. PERFECT for me and my shooting interests.

And for those who have never been to Williams, Martin is 100% accurate about how neat of a little high elevation town Williams is. Tall Ponderosa pines everywhere. My family took a day trip over there late last summer and did some of the fun activities Martin mentioned above. And the elevation keeps the temps down, even in July.

I've got my PTO request in and approved, and excited to attend. Should be a great event.

What targets for the EFT?

How many silhouettes and what arrangement for the silhouette match?

Bob
Thanks for the questions. We will be using AOA's targets for the EFT, but no Buffalos! I will be going through them prior to the match and making sure they are all mechanically sound. I plan on using remote controls for the resets as we did at EFT last year.

Silhouette is still being formulated, but I am expecting to have banks of ten targets for each shooter. Planning on a head to head - double elimination. I am going to try out the format within our club over the next few weeks to see what would be the best. Kind of a new setup.

@Martin3528

I noticed on the PDF that it mentions that this is an EFT Grand Prix. I'm not chasing points but maybe mentioning that in the title of this thread would grab another couple shooters who ARE after those GP points (if GP points are being awarded).
It is a GP, and I figured with the two day event it would be taken as such, but good idea. I'll take your points!

Right now just over ten have signed up. Going to go over the registrations the next couple days. I expect more as the date gets closer.
Hopefully you can get more shooters. You need at least 15 to compete both days for it to count as an official EFT GP with points toward the National Championship.
