I’m using medium height rings. The overall scope height is 2.7 inches which includes the height of the picatinny rail.

I have a LaRue Tactical scope mount on mine and it's 1.5" above the picatinny rail to the center of the scope ring. I have an SWFA 3-15x42 and I actually want it lower like 1.12" or 1.2" which I know would clear with my 42mm objective.

A question to the owners - what is your mounts/rings height on R5M matadors? 

NIGHTFORCE ULTRALITE UNI-MOUNT 1.125 HGT 20 M.O.A 30MM A190. I mounted a Nightforce NX8 2.5-20. It is a 50mm objective optic.

The torque is probably set in Russia when the temperature is freezing or below. Because the thermal coefficient of expansion of aluminum is much greater than steel when it gets to warmer climates the tension increases.

Is this true? Are these rifles assembled outside?

I don't believe they're assembled outside but from some of the Ed's videos it seems like it's not too warm in the office and definitely cold at the shooting range there.

I saw Ed video, when he put force to screw the tension nut

I think because of his muscles the force is much more than 10-12 ftlb

As every other gun i own i do experiments with in a lot parts, like reg, barrel, mags, trigger
