Tuning EdGun R5M .177 slugs

What slugs are you guys trying for these guns? And what speeds are you seeing the best accuracy?



Figured I would ask here to see if there was a good starting point before going in blind.

I'm curious to see if you get any first hand results in the responses using that gun. The gun should have no problem with the power to sling them whatever speed they want. I've found all of my .177 slug barrels do like speed. I've tried them in LW polygon, LW standard rifling both unchoked and choked. I've also shot them in Alfa Precision barrels with good results. No matter the barrel, I found they generally did best at 950 fps and faster. The LW unchoked barrels did the best for me with the NSA 12.5 and 15 grain slugs, but the Alfa Precision barrels seemed to do better with the 20+ grain slugs. Maybe some of that info will be useful to ya I feel like you should be able to find a combo that works with that gun though. I think Nick Neilson has been shooting slugs in his .177 Edgun, fwiw.
