Edgun R5 Help

I have an Edgun R5 Super Long in .30 caliber. The gun was shooting the 44 grn. JSB pellets at 870fps with the Huma regulator set at 105 bar. I wanted to get more accuracy at 100yds. +. I ordered some 47.2 grn. slugs. I turned the regulator up to 135 bar and increased my hammer spring until I reached max speed of 935fps. I backed off to a consistent 917fps. After making these adjustments I have two new issues. First is my safety works fine with the gun uncocked but when you cock the gun the safety will not engage no matter how hard I try. Second thing is that maybe once every 10 shots or so when I cock the gun the sear will not stay engaged and I will have to cock the gun again in order for it to fire. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them. Thanks

You Probably have to make an adjustment to make the trigger pull weight harder.

First is my safety works fine with the gun uncocked but when you cock the gun the safety will not engage no matter how hard I try.

I bought a new r5 .30 a few months ago. Mine is like that. I cant use the safety once the gun is ready to fire....others r5 i have tried are the same....and i dont know why.

I think that when the gun is cocked, the hammer does not stand in a position where the safety is able to engage. when the bolt is fully open, the hammer goes a bit far backwards and then the safety engages, but only in this situation....once the bolt is closed after cocking, the safety doesnt engage anymore
