It should not matter where you bought it in EU. Ed, You read all the post on forums, note that within European Union there is a free flow of goods and services, like in US between states. So 2 year warranty should be valid across EU. It’s a free market and we can choose where to buy. It all depends on flexibility of distributor - if Greek was lazy to sell Mike bought it elsewhere.... in this case Portuguese seller should take over warranty exchange on him.

I have one that's a little thin in the bolt area and needs an o-ring to tighten things up. Brian replaced it with a blem laminated one.

My R5M that I received from Edgun West in December 2018 did not have bubble wrap around it. Are you sure there were no damages to the box?

I suspect the vendor in Portugal shipped you a broken one figuring he could get away with it. Where I used to work we had a problem with customers shipping in for repair computers that were physically broken when they shipped them. We stopped this by doing videos of unboxing their repair so we could prove that the item arrived broken, this quickly stopped the few dishonest customers from scamming us. I know I could be wrong but if the box it came in looks good it has to be that’s how it looked when packed.

Nobody want a less than perfect 'whatever'... But is that really a broken stock or (given the one pic) separated/separating wood in the grain? It probably won't makeyou feel any better about it either way but damage in transport VS wood that's coming apart are two diff things to me. If the wood is peeling apart at the grain.... That's a manufacturing defect!

These 2 cracks, around the trigger screw became, as Edgun says, from the transportation
I saw them when i took of the stock to fix the HST

I feel for you. This happened to me when I purchased my 1st brand new Edgun from the only Distributor here in the states (Florida). It came with a cracked stock and the distributor and Ed said they would not take care of it. That really put a bad taste in my mouth. I don't own an edgun either. I hope you get it resolved. It's B.S!!

I received the gun in that condition, with extra bubbles inside
At my gun the stock at the sides was very tight at the bottle, when i took it of it was the screw overtight
I left it on the table and i saw that
When i put it back if the screw at the trigger overtight it puss out the stock
It needs at the begin another washer to made an extra gap
The distributor in Greece told Ed what happened but he just told us "it was ok when i send it"

The dealer you bought it from sent you a repacked item. Edguns are shipped from the factory in boxes that have a molded styrofoam insert that cradles your gun. If it didn’t arrive that way someone in the chain F up and the used what was handy to box it up to ship it to you. Ed did not do anything to contribute to your problem based on the facts presented. However as someone who wants to have satisfied customers he should make a replacement stock available to you at a substantially discounted price he should also talk to the distributor who sold it and make them pick up the cost.
When you deal with a vendor from a country other than your own you are prime meat to them to be screwed over as you are too far away to fight back. Believe if I felt a dealer deliberately sent me damaged goods I would make them pay for it anyway I could.

This is really disgusting. I own a couple of edguns including the r5m I dont think will purchase anymore if this how act, its only a stock.

The item wasnt repacked at all !
you have to understand that the point it brakes the stock it happens at the MONTAGE OF THE STOCK TO THE GUN
that happens only if you OVERTIGHT the screw

Pretty poor showing for Ed on this one . Not quite as bad as FX selling a 2000$ gun with crappy non functioning gauges but pretty close . I just spent 90$ on a brand new FX to get working gauges . And another 40$ for a fill adapter that I can take off without resorting to using plyers. Love the gun but it’s disappointing none the less.

One unhappy customer leads to another...eventually the name Edgun may be just a faint memory if he won't stand behind and out in front of his products. It would really be no skin off his nose to ship you a new stock as a goodwill gesture regardless of who is to blame for the cracks...and when he receives the old one back it could easily be repaired and used by Ed as a shop stock, or it could be refinished, painted, or hydrodipped in some cool Russian Camo. There is a point of pride here for Ed to think over...and I am betting he will do the right thing...just sayin' come on Ed who loves ya?

So I hope my 2c aren't unwelcome here but let me toss them out.
First off, I honestly don't see how this is Ed's problem. Yes it'd be fantastic if he stepped in and offered some sort of resolution, but the whole reason for regional distributors to exist is that they are supposed to support the brand. It is a lot harder for Ed to export a single one of anything from Russia to within the EU than for the EU distributor to move something within the economic zone. Again it is kind of the point of the EU existing.
Second, I assume you bought the gun in NEW condition from the distributor? As far as I'm concerned, as far as Paypal is concerned, and as far as virtually every money transfer/credit company is concerned, it is the job of THE SELLER to make sure the product arrives AS DESCRIBED (in brand new condition in this case) to the customer. It isn't Ed's job, it isn't anyone else's job, it is the seller's job and the seller's job alone. It doesn't matter if the inventory was sent to them from Ed faulty or they damaged it in holding or it was damaged in shipping, they advertised it, they sold it, they shipped it, and it is their job to deliver it in the condition as described. The buck stops with them in my opinion. Offer them a chance to make it right of course, but if they refuse I think you're well within your rights to contact your payment processor to seek a financial resolution. If there was some sort of "as is" or "no warranty" situation of shipping from Greece to Portugal, they need to have said that UP FRONT and in pretty clear terms.
That is kind of the long and short of it in my eyes. I hope that makes sense and is reasonable. Obviously if there are systemic issues with manufacturing, defects, or if it is a shipping damage (it should be insured), but unless you either specifically refused insurance, requested a fraudulent value declaration, or agreed up front to a no-warranty purchase I don't see how this could be the responsibility of anything other than the seller. When you sell a brand, any brand, you're responsible for handling the customer service. That is why the standard retail markup in most industries is 40%, because there is a lot more to it than simply "hold and ship this stuff." If there is a systemic issue, it is the job of the dealer/distributor to take that up with the manufacturer, but NEVER make it the customer's problem to chase the manufacturer.
