Edgun leyla 2.0 Lame....review

Got my Lelya last night, deadly accurate SADLY the magazines are POO! I ordered 4 tins from Edgun west and they slip thru the mags or cause a jam! Very very disappointed in the Mags! And the gun is also LOUD, much louder than I expected, I can fix that with the Bat moderator, if I keep the gun I will order the Bat. Need to look around to see who makes a much better aftermarket magazine for the Lelya. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I figured out the problem! 2 of the magazines did NOT have O rings in the middle and therefore was causing the pellets to fall out.

. The third magazine had the O rings and works PERFECT.

All 5 of my mags have 2 O-rings on em. I added a 3rd for slugs, which really keeps em in. And yes, get the BAT, takes it down to mouse fart... Hammer ping is louder.

I think you'll find the more time you spend with it, the more you'll love it.

So far, my impression of the edgun leyla 2.0. Think about a cantilever scope mount if using a full sized scope. The rifle with the bat moderator in .25 in factory settings is very good. Not great, but a comprise between power and air suppression. It is a great balance for me, I do love how small the rifle is. The edgun leyla is a powerful hunting rifle that sacrificing a flatter trajectory and sound by way of a very compact, fast handling bullpup. The magazine indexing is gravely, but satisfying when it goes into battery with a pellet. The trigger, it is like my edgun leshiy in a way, but better, but no where near a light standard trigger group. The ataman I have has a great trigger, like snapping a photo on a quality camera. The leyla trigger is good, but lost in translation for the last few millimeters in the second stage. I feel the accuracy on the leyla is definitely there, I just haven’t put my time in yet. I will be honest, the leyla is a little harder to shoot than my ataman M2r ultra. The leyla is more powerful, but the compactness demands more concentration. The ataman is a standard rifle, for me it points very easily. The downside was it was longer, Even when folded in half, not nearly as powerful and most of all, to deploy it I still needed to take it out of bag, unfold stock and sight in. Squirrels can be finicky. The leyla is quick to deploy, if I take my time and check cant and learn my holdovers, the leyla is very good. So today’s hunt was really nice, except I lost a magazine while it was in the magazine holder on the upper rail. it just probably jostled right off. I ordered some replacement, but at 30 a magazine, I may just zip lock the spares loaded in a jacket pocket. Had four clean squirrels kills in a span of 2 hours, the leyla is definitely racking up the points.

I’m loving mine after a figured out a few kinks! Definitely one of the coolest guns out there, have knocked down a few pigeons and starlings. I did order 3 Aluminum magazines from eagle vision over in the UK. My baby.

That is one of the nicest stocks that I have seen on a Lelya. Did you treat or stain that?

Thank you, it is exactly how it came, Brian picked it out when I put my order in for the gun and Scope.

So after shooting the leyla for about two weeks now, I feel the rifle has settled down. New gun, new regulator and barrel, it needed a tin of pellets to really hit its stride, or maybe I am just getting more familiar with the rifle. It’s odd to me, I re zeroed at 40 yds, when hunting, it’s almost always a one shot kill past 30 meters, but man, I have missed my first shot on a couple squirrels up close, but fortunately the quick reloading makes a follow up shot very easy. I have to learn my equipment better, I do believe the vertical distance from barrel to scope makes hold over very important up close. I ordered a Larue cantilever mount so I can finally dial in the eye relief. So, yeah, I have not cleaned the barrel, at all, but the consistency and accuracy right now is very good. The bat moderator is very good, the rifle seems very loud at first because your ear is so close to the hammer and the internal noise can be misleading. It’s a pretty quiet rifle with the bat, and still very quiet and compact. I haven’t tried the edgun pellets yet, I have been using the 26 grain polymags with good results. So I shot a whole tin (150 count), the rifle is about 2 weeks old and I do believe the score so far is 40 squirrels. It is a hammer.
