I have owned a Leshiy for half a year. When I first got my first one it came with some manufacture marks over the air tube, like it had been dinged up when put together. Originally I thought I just got a rough one, so I returned it and got another. When I got my second one sure enough that one had some manufacture marks too, but this time over the folding hinge. I contacted Brian from EdGun west and he said that all EdGuns have some manufacture marks or defects, and to basically get over it if I wanted to own an EdGun. The gun grouped well at 23 yards so I decided just to keep it. Basically Edgun doesn’t care about any aesthetic defects as long as they shoot. It sounds like you got one of the poorly put together Leshiys. I would just recommended if you are adamant about getting a Leshiy to just return it and hope the next one was put together better.
Hmm sounds familiar, just recently purchased a Leshiy from edgun west ( A+ communication and super fast shipping ) when I enquired about the gun and prior to receiving it. Got the gun and was really excited to shoot it. Noticed the first night it dropped 30 bar , Gave him a call about it leaking and right away started saying it’s not leaking it’s from a temp change ? Never even gave me a chance to explain anything I shoot from my heated barn and bring my guns back in my house to my safe. Do realize there’s fluctuations in pressure in temp changes , but not that much and in my conditions. Pretty much told me, his exact words,‘“ there’s sometimes 250 bar guns and sometimes 150 bar guns” ??? Huhhh, wasn’t sure what was meant by that , maybe some guns only hold to 150 bar and others hold pressure at 250. Idk., anyways I decided to order a O-Ring rebuild kit from him. Mind you I’m not claiming to know everything about PCPs but have owned them and many others for the last 25 yrs of my life, and like everyone with any new gun it’s always a learning curve figuring out the ins/outs of each gun. He did install a Huma reg for me and did say it could possibly leak after he sends it to be fair, what he didn’t say was there was going to be no support and pretty much suck it up like you experienced. I emailed the next day stating it’s still leaking and haven’t heard anything back since. Also emailed him with a pic of a pretty serious score in the finish from one of the set screws , that i absolutely did not do, looks like it was worked on before or from the factory like that. Someone obviously didn’t turn the set screw back in before attempting to fold the stock.
After reading up on possible leak areas, found it with soapy water
no matter how many times I replaced the O-Rings on the huma reg it continued to leak. Turns out the reg had a nick in the area the O-Ring sat and caused the leaks. Leak is repaired , the scratch in the finish I took a marker so it’s not so visible. The EDMU also died on me within 2 days ended up being the battery, didn’t like the electronic gauge so replaced it with a wika that is more my style. Also contacted Ed through private message and he replied back promptly and asked who I purchased the gun from and told him. Haven’t heard nothing back yet after letting him know that was about a week ago. So maybe I should of said I purchased it from someone else idk. So if you expect perfection from edgun or from certain dealers you better do your homework and if after purchase dealer help is important do even more homework. Now I have read many ppl having the best experiences with same dealer and manufacture, idk, this is just my experiences I had.
Now the good , if you have the patience to work through some of the issues of these guns I know my Leshiy is probably one of my most favorite guns I own right now. I purchased the 350mm barrel for mine and it’s a match made in heaven. This is no joke 50 yrds all day long under 1” groups , 75 constantly under 1 1/2” groups. For this small of a gun I didnt expect such great performance. I shoot the 25.39gr JSB at approx 778fps avg and get a good 20 shots with the huma installed. I absolutely love this little compact gun. So easy to change calibers. It likes to be held tight when shooting and has a nice little quiet thump when fired
Stick with the Leshiy and things will get worked out in the long haul, it will be worth it for the small compact package it is. Good luck with yours.
