Hello all,
For those of you using multiple barrels with your Leshiy, do you index them so that you can swap them in and out with the exact same orientation they were originally sighted in for? If so, what is your preferred method for marking?
My intuition tells me that I may have to tweak the scope anyway after every barrel swap.
I was thinking of scribing a line at the 12 o'clock position on the OD near the breech especially as it helps quickly identify the breech from the muzzle. You definitely have to look at these very closely to tell the difference.
I remember reading that some people having guns with replaceable barrels index their barrels to help eliminate windage POI shifting at different ranges if there is the slightest bend in a barrel for instance. Boy that would be an exhaustive amount of work to assess POI shifting at different ranges with the Barrel in 12 different positions (rotating 1 o'clock, 2 o'clock.....etc).
Your thoughts are appreciated.
Here is a photo of my new Leshiy with 350 mm barrel and shroud extension. I purchased extended 350mm barrels in 177, 22, & 25. I chose the SWFA 3-15x42 FFP scope with MOA quad reticle. Mounting with SWFA high tactical rings was just enough height to allow the objective flip cap to clear the moderator.
The scope is a little long, especially with the sun shade but was a good deal on the Labor Day sale at SWFA Outdoors.
